Some short (virtual) Jane's Walks for a lockdown afternoon...

Updated: May 8, 2020

With Dorian Kelly and friends

The Title of my walk for 2020 was going to be "The Astonishing History of Colchester in Eleven Acts". As the world knows, it's not going to happen this year, but I have put together some short films of parts of the walk.

They contain, as does the walk itself, some surprises, poems, pop-up performances. I hope you enjoy them. Come back in 2021 for the whole thing!

Here's the First: it's all about a lady whose visit to Colchester has never been forgotten...

Here's the second: it's all about some amazing things that have happened in Colchester's Lower Castle Park over the last century or so.. It's in the form of my poem with images...

And the third - all about a forgotten jewel in our heritage crown: St Botolph's Priory...

And the fourth - 'Elephants at the Gate' (and how Claudius can't stand them)

And the fifth - about the Rev. Irvine and his spoiled view...

And sixth - about The Garrison Church and the mass weddings

And finally - the one about the diver and the gates...
