A couple of years ago, I gave my first Jane’s Walk tour of Colchester, accompanied by my friend Mike Harwood. I’d planned to do more, but with an increasing work schedule and the recent Covid situation, I’ve not been able to either host a walk or join somebody else’s walk. I’ve missed out on so many interesting walks in recent years, which is such a shame, as there are so many knowledgeable guides within the town, who have given so much of their time in putting together their informative walks. Here in 2022, I’m sadly unable to host a walk due to other circumstances. However, last year I set about filming my walks and tours for YouTube, so many people can enjoy them at any time from the comfort of their home, especially if it’s raining!
I’ve filmed about a dozen so far in Colchester, as well as numerous others from Sudbury, Ipswich, Swansea, Bristol, and other places, with many more planned for the future.
In each of my walks, I try and show a more interesting side to this countries heritage, focusing on the people who helped shape our history along with tales of execution and other events which tend to be omitted in tourist guides.
